Class Descriptions

Technique:
An introduction to the Adler Technique, focusing on the significance of the basic principles. Participants will experiment with their imagination to understand the flexibility of imaginary circumstances versus real-life circumstances. Additionally, the workshop covers the use of physical and psychologically covered entrances, and the investigation of the value of individual words with ‘movement of the word’.

On-Camera:
An on-camera scene workshop steeped in the Adler technique of circumstances and imagination. This part of the workshop emphasizes the physical and vocal adjustments required for camera work, together with script analysis and application of the Adler technique. Only film scripts are used, and all work is done on camera.

Audition Skills:
The purpose of this part of the workshops is to begin to prepare actors for the audition environment by giving a realistic idea of what is required in an audition.

Movement:
The part of the workshop focuses on the basics of Lucid Body movement. Lucid Body is an intensive psycho-physical approach to movement training. Actors will explore how the thoughts and feelings of their characters are expressed through physical movement and behavior.

All workshop sessions are taught by our regular faculty:
