Summer Financial Need Scholarships

The Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre – Los Angeles

…Is looking for a few focused, hard-working and community-minded people who cannot afford to study acting but have a great desire and passion for doing so. If you fit this description, you are invited to apply for our Scholarship Program. Space is limited.

Applicants will go through an involved interview process, and will have to prove financial need in order to be considered. Scholarships of varying amounts will be given up to 50%, based on financial need.

If you self-identify as a member of a historically marginalized group you are especially encouraged to apply.

Eligibility:

You have not previously taken classes at Stella Adler Academy and Theatre
You make under $35,000 per year (individually)
You live in the Los Angeles area

Application requirements:

Completed application form with supporting documents (listed on the form)

After your initial application is reviewed, eligible applicants will be invited to submit a self tape, no longer than three minutes, covering these three topics:

Tell us about a time you helped someone or volunteered in your community.
Tell us about a time you overcame a challenge or obstacle and what you learned from it.

Submission Instructions:
The application form, essay, and supporting financial documents should be sent to our scholarship coordinator, Salim Aliaga, at scholarship@stellaadler-la.com. Upon initial review of financial eligibility, Salim will send a link to upload your video.
